We hebben alle laatste persoonlijke foto’s die Esmée via twitter, facebook en tumblr heeft geplaatst in onze gallery toegevoegd van de afgelopen weken. Ze was druk bezig met het opnemen en schrijven van nieuwe nummers voor haar tweede album en haar zus Daphne -die in Nederland te zien was in Dirty Dancing de musical – heeft haar ook een aantal dagen bezocht in Londen.

I have tons of artist I would love to work with one day.. But my long time idol is Alicia Keys so one day.

De website Lockerz, het is alleen toegankelijk voor leden,heeft een nieuwe video geplaatst van Esmée. Ze liet ons een paar dagen geleden weten dat ze naar de kapper is geweest, en zo te zien is haar, haar lichter geworden en iets korter. Het ziet er leuk uit! Je kunt de video hieronder bekijken.

We hebben ook de laatste foto’s toegevoegd die Esmée via twitter heeft toegevoegd.

Esmée heeft via twitter ons een voorproefje gegevan van haar tweede album. Zoals we al eerder lieten weten is ze op dit moment aan het schrijven, opnemen en brainstormen voor haar tweede album en zal ze aankomende january in London nieuwe nummers opnemen. Ze heeft al een aantal nummers opgenomen, maar het is nog niet zeker of deze op haar tweede album zullen komen.

Esmée vind dat artiest zijn groei betekend. Ze is trots op haar debuut album, maar vind dat het tweede album echt bepaald waar je staat als artiest en wat je waard ben. Ze is gegroeid als persoon en artiest in de afgelopen jaren. Haar tweede album zal ons meer groei en volwassenheid laten zien -ze zegt: “Het zal je omver blazen. Ik beloof je dat ik het waar ga maken, dit keer zal het groter en beter worden“.

Sommige fans, waaronder ik zelf, vroegen zich af wat er gebeurt is met de release van Esmée’s debuut album in de VS en over de hele wereld. Haar reactie: “Artiesten werken wanneer je het niet ziet. De promotie is makkelijk, je komt en doet je ding. De magie [muziek] creeeren is het moeilijkste deel.“.

De conclusie die we dus kunnen trekken is dat ze haar eerste album, zeker voor een wereldwijde doorbraak, ziet als een leerproces. Op dit moment neemt ze deels afstand van youtube omdat ze bekend wil worden als Esmée en niet ‘dat meise van youtube’. Ze focust zich op dit moment dus op haar tweede album, laten we hopen dat dit wel een wereldwijde release en promotie krijgt. Ik geloof echt in Esmée: ze komt er wel! We hebben haar zien groeien in haar optreden en voorkomen. Ik zie de eerste jaren van haar carriere als een goed iets: ze heeft zichzelf kunnen ontwikkelen als artiest. Iets wat goed is voor op de lange termijn.

Sommige fans/media zijn teleurgesteld in hoe de begin periode is gegaan. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen: blijf Esmée steunen. Ik sluit deze tweet af met haar laatste tweet: “Om succes te hebben moet je falen,dan weet je wat je de volgende keer moet doen” -haar eerste album was een leerproces voor haar tweede album. #WeLoveEsmée

Gisteren, 23 november, was Esmée’s tweede twitter verjaardag. Het is vandaag precies 731 dagen geleden sinds ze zich aansloot bij twitter. Haar eerste tweet was: Travelling 3:42 PM Nov 23rd, 2008 from web. In de eerste maanden gebruikte Esmée twitter niet actief, maar dat is gelukkig veranderd. Het is een goede manier om in contact te blijven met haar fans.
